The CPHC Adult Day Program is designed for individuals 18 years and older who have diminished physical capabilities, cognitive impairment, or are socially isolated. The program offers 6 hours of structured programs/activities lead by Activity Care Partners (ACPs) and Recreational Therapists (RTs) within a friendly and secure environment. This services also provides caregivers respite and support in managing the changing needs of their loved ones.
The ACPs and RTs facilitate activities that stimulate brain function, encourage socialization, and support the health and well-being of the participants. Clients may participate in group activities such as crafts, trivia games, and pet therapy, or they may choose to engage in individual activities such as puzzles, watching movies/TV, or playing music.

On Monday, September 23, 2024 at 12:15PM, the Survivors’ Flag will be raised in support of National Day for Truth and Reconciliation on September 30th. The Survivors’ Flag is an expression of remembrance, meant to honour residential school Survivors and all the lives and communities impacted by the residential school system in Canada. Each element depicted on the flag was carefully selected by Survivors from across Canada, who were consulted in the flag’s creation.

Both the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation & Orange Shirt Day take place on September 30th.
Orange Shirt Day is an Indigenous-led grassroots commemorative day intended to raise awareness of the individual, family and community inter-generational impacts of residential schools, and to promote the concept of Every Child Matters.
The orange shirt is a symbol of the stripping away of culture, freedom, and self-esteem experienced by Indigenous children over generations.

The Prescott Museum is pleased to invite you to theopening of the exhibit commemorating the 1984 RoyalVisit to Prescott.
Join us at the Town Hall from 2-4pm onFriday September 27th, for the unveiling of the exhibitcontaining artifacts and photos recounting their visit on September 27th, 1984.
Light refreshments will be offeredfollowing the unveiling.
The display will continue through October 1st to October 4th from 9am - 3pm. 360 Dibble Street West, 2nd floor.

National Day for Truth and Reconciliation
Each year, September 30 marks the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.
The day honours the children who never returned home and Survivors of residential schools, as well as their families and communities. Public commemoration of the tragic and painful history and ongoing impacts of residential schools is a vital component of the reconciliation process.
Both the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation & Orange Shirt Day take place on September 30th.
